The 23rd annual Strawberry Festival will take place on May 16 in Uptown Stuart from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Event Coordinator Brian Hylton said 86 vendors are scheduled to set up at the festival.
As those vendors took up all 100 vendor spots, no more vendors will be accepted for the event.
“We actually stopped taking applications about two-and-a-half weeks ago. We’re glad lots of people have an interest in it, but at the same time we just have limited space and need to make sure we’re not crowding anyone. We’re trying to remind them we have the October Festival coming up in a few months,” he said.
To make it easier for vendors to apply, Hylton said he recently created online forms.
“A lot of our vendors come from out of state. North Carolina and other places in Virginia, so I’m trying to make it more accessible so they can apply online and pay their fee online,” he said.
Unlike past festivals, Hylton said Stagecoach on Main will host any live music.
“They have actually been working on trying to get some local musicians to come and play. They actually just recently told me they’re having a hard time with that, I think budget-wise was part of the problem,” he said.
If there is no live music, Hylton said music will be played throughout the festival on loudspeakers and at Stagecoach.
If the weather is pleasant, Hylton estimates the festival will be attended all day.
