Dianne McCarthy Webb and Robert L. Webb celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary locally, and plan to go to Alaska later this summer. They were married on May 14, 1960 in Greenich, Connecticut, and honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. Bob is a USMC veteran and graduate of Averett College. He retired from the Virginia Department of Corrections, with 25 years of service as a probation/parole officer. Dianne graduated from Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC), and retired from Bassett-Walker. The couple have two sons: Thomas of Stuart, and Donald of Richmond, Va.; four grandchildren: Richard D. Webb, Ashley Webb and Jessica Webb, all of Lakeland, Fla., and Nickolas Stoneman of Sanville, Va.
