The Farm Credit Knowledge Center will host its annual Farm Management Institutes at the West Virginia State Fairgrounds in Lewisburg, W. Va. on February 23, 2026, and at the Holiday Inn at Tanglewood in Roanoke, Va. on February 24. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 6 both days.
Farm Management Institute is an annual free educational offering from the Farm Credit Knowledge Center in which participants will hear from Dr. David Kohl, Professor Emeritus of Virginia Tech. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with Dr. Kohl as he covers two different topics at each location. Dr. Kohl will address the “Nuts and Bolts of Business Transition” in Lewisburg and “The Management Mindset of Business and Life” in Roanoke. In Lewisburg, Dr. Kohl will provide strategies, actions and tactics that are critical for success in developing, sustaining and growing agricultural businesses and operations. In Roanoke, Dr. Kohl will present key strategies that prioritize resilience, agility and nimbleness while navigating agricultural technology and innovation that may pose opportunities for your business while facing consumer demand.
