The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office held the Ararat Community Watch at the Ararat Ruritan Building in Ararat at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 30. Sheriff Dan Smith opened the meeting with his updates, then held a question and answer session before introducing the guest speaker, Investigator Danny Martin. Martin spoke about coyotes. He said they were not introduced here in Patrick County, but talked about how they got here, what they eat, and the dangers of them getting close.
