The Ararat Community Watch held a meeting on Thursday, May 24 at Ararat Ruritan Building.
Host Deputy Rob Martin spoke about latest happenings and answered questions. He introduced special guest Animal Control Officer, Deputy Ronnie Williams, who talked about the different animals he encountered. Williams discussed rabid animals and their reactions, what happens if your animal is bit and how it will be quarantined. Because rabies testing is performed on the head, Williams said if an animal must be shot, not to shoot it in the head. He then answered questions.
