Barry Warren Collins, age 56, of Stuart, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
He was born in Patrick County on January 25, 1960 and was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Shockley Collins.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He loved the outdoors and his co-workers at Bassett Furniture.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Casey Collins Hawks and Christopher of Stuart; one granddaughter, Emily Hawks; one stepgrandson, Ethan Craft; his father, James Collins of Stuart; one sister and brother-in-law, Camilla Comer and Michael of Madison, N.C.; a nephew, Bryan Comer and wife Brooke; his fiancé, Tammi Bullins and her children, Felicia Bowman and Avery Bowman, and grandson, Brayden, all of Stuart.
Funeral services were held Friday at Minnie’s Chapel Wesleyan Church with Pastors Gary Combs and Chad Harrison officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
