Master Gardeners recently held a workshop at their Learning Garden on growing berries. Pictured are Jess Hines and Norma Bozenmayer teaching how to grow, propagate and the multiple uses for the elderberry bush. Participants snacked on fresh berries while learning about growing blueberries and brambles from Ed Coleman. Some lucky participants brought berry bushes home to plant.
The next Learning Garden Workshop will be held on July 15 at 10 a.m. It will address composting, propagation and watering.
Master gardeners will also sponsor a special presentation at the Stuart Farmers’ Market on Carnivorous Bog plants Saturday June 17, at 1:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Please bring a chair.
