The Patrick County Blood Drive is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1 from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the John D. Hooker Building at Rotary Field in Stuart.
We welcome all donors, those who will give for the first time and dedicated donors who have given before, with or without appointments.
The American Red Cross recommends donors maintain an iron-rich diet, get a good night’s sleep, and drink an extra eight ounces of water before donating.
Don’t forget to save time by answering the health-history questions on the day of the drive by visiting redcrossblood.org/RapidPass.org and print the pass or email it to your mobile device.
November’s blood drive is sponsored by Caviness Trucking and Auto Repair. They have moved back into the main building after fire damage in February.
If you are interested in becoming a blood drive volunteer, please stop by Rotary Field during the blood drive or call 694-0272. Giving back to your community by volunteering can be a very rewarding experience. Our volunteers have a blast.
We will be drawing a donor’s name to win a live Christmas wreath at the blood drive. The live wreath is contributed by Plantiques, valued at $65, and will be made with the loving hands of Robert Reynolds. The winner is asked to call Plantiques to order a week before to insure freshness.
Giving blood is one of the most satisfying and rewarding acts in your lifetime.
See you at the blood drive on November 1.
