The Patrick County Blood Drive is scheduled for Tuesday, March 7 from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the John D. Hooker Building at Rotary Field in Stuart.
We welcome all donors, those who will give for the first time and dedicated donors who have given before, with or without appointments.
The American Red Cross recommends donors maintain an iron-rich diet, get a good night’s sleep, and drink an extra eight ounces of water before donating.
Don’t forget to save time by answering the health-history questions on the day of the drive by visiting redcrossblood.org/RapidPass.org and print the pass or email it to your mobile device.
The average wait-time, from the time of arrival to “the table,” was ten minutes at February’s blood drive. I will be reporting this statistic each month.
The March blood drive is sponsored by Brian Jessup & Associates, CPA, located in uptown Stuart. It is tax season and they still take time to sponsor the blood drive.
Thanks to all the local businesses of Patrick County.
If you are interested in becoming a blood drive volunteer, please stop by Rotary Field during the blood drive or call 694-0272. Giving back to your community by volunteering can be a very rewarding experience. Thanks to our volunteers for being there for all donors.
Giving blood is one of the most satisfying and rewarding acts in your lifetime.
See you at the blood drive, March 7!
