The Patrick County Board of Supervisors will hold a reorganizational meeting on Monday, January 11 at 6 p.m.
The board will elect a chairman, vice-chairman, and consider adopting Robert’s Rules of Governance to follow during meetings.
The board also is to consider and adopt a 2021 Meeting Schedule and select members to serve on various committees during the meeting that will be held in the Patrick County Administration Building in Stuart.
The board also will conduct a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on a proposed budget amendment for fiscal year 2021. The amendment was needed due to an increase in the Patrick County School Board budget from $28,796,991.09 to $29,508,406.51.
The hearing will be held in the third–floor courtroom in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial building, 106 Rucker Street, Stuart. A vote will be taken at the meeting.
Anyone wishing to view the proposed budget or coronavirus relief fund information may do so at the County Administration office, Suite 218 located in the Patrick County Veterans Memorial building.
Also, at the meeting Monday, the board is expected to discuss the Continuity of Operations Associated with the Pandemic Disaster – COVID-19 Ordinance, and may meet in closed session to discuss Personnel, Legal, and Contract matters and Real Estate.
