Bridgette Craighead, Democratic nominee for the House of Delegates, will bring her grassroots campaign to Patrick County on July 12 at a Meet the Candidate/community picnic at DeHart Park in Stuart from 5 to 7 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public, and light refreshments will be served.
Born and raised in Rocky Mount, Craighead learned the importance of faith, resilience, and hard work at an early age. As a mother, a local business owner and job creator, and community activist, she understands the challenges facing parents, workers, and businesses, especially as we navigate the pandemic and try to rebuild stronger than before.
“Everyone wants safe neighborhoods, quality schools, affordable and accessible healthcare, good-paying jobs, and strong infrastructure, including broadband for all our households, clean drinking water, and reliable transportation options,” said Craighead. “Ordinary folks in Patrick County, and across the 9th House of Delegates district, are tired of politicians who make a lot of promises but just don’t deliver what our communities need. I’m running for Delegate to bring real change and build a stronger, healthier, and fairer future for all of us.”
Everyone is invited to meet and talk with Bridgette and learn more about her campaign and her priorities for the 9th House of Delegates district. Literature and yard signs will be available, as well as voter registration and voter information for the November 2 general election. The event will be held at the large picnic shelter.
