Patrick County Young Professionals will hold an inaugural Voter Education and Candidate Forum on Tuesday, October 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Virginia Motorsports Museum and Hall of Fame’s Auditorium, located at 212 Wood Brothers Drive, Stuart.
“We hope to engage with our local community members in the voting education process, register anyone who is not yet registered to vote, and connect voters to their candidates both on the local and state levels,” according to a release..
In November, voters will have the opportunity to help fill several positions, including Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, House of Delegates representative, Board of Supervisors, School Board members and Clerk of Circuit Court.
Registrar Susan Taylor will be on hand with absentee ballots and new voting machines. She also can answer any questions about deadlines and the voting process.
The group will facilitate candidate introductions and attendees are invited to meet with candidates following the event for a short meet and greet session.
Please come support your community and learn about your candidates at the event that is meant to be bi-partisan and focused on voter education in our community.
