The next meeting of the Carroll County Genealogy Club will be December 7 at 6 p.m. at the Carroll County Public Library in Hillsville for the annual Christmas covered dish meal. The dinner will take the place of the regular meeting for December. The “Find-A-Note” Trio will perform seasonal music.
In observance of the Thanksgiving celebration the club library will be closed for the week of Thanksgiving, November 22-25.
The upcoming holidays have prompted a change in the hours that the club library will be open. For the remainder of 2016 the library will open on November 30, December 7 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The library will be closed the last two weeks in December.
Starting January 1 the library will be open only on Wednesdays for the months of January, February and March. Anyone wishing to help staff the library and help those doing research or wish to do research at a time the library is not scheduled to be open is asked to contact Katie at (276) 766-3431.
Also note that the club follows the Carroll County School closure schedule, if the schools are closed then the library will be closed as well as any meetings scheduled for that night will be canceled.
