The District 3 Skills/USA Contest was held at Franklin County High School, Friday, March 4th. PC Building Trades students competed in General Carpentry, Residential Electrical, and Teamworks, which consists of House Framing, Masonry, Plumbing, and Electrical. In Carpentry, Jake Bryant finished 3rd in Residential Electrical. Elyjah Jenkins finished 1st and will advance to the State Skills/USA Contest. In Teamworks Construction, the team of Parker Roop, Eli Wood, Reggie Brown, Carter Gregory, and Logan Brown finished 1st and will also advance to the State Skills/USA Contest which will be held in Roanoke, VA, April 4-6. Building Trades Instructor Philip Steagall said, “I am very proud of all these young men for going the extra mile to compete in the contest, and we are looking forward to seeing them test their skills in a few weeks at the state finals.
