A graduation ceremony for Patrick County High School’s Class of 2020 will be held in June.
Schools Superintendent Dean Gilbert said the division hopes to schedule the ceremony during Phase 2 of Gov. Ralph Northam’s reopening proposal.
The date is not yet set, Gilbert said, adding that it will be held on a Saturday, and will include an alternate date in case of continued inclement weather.
School officials also continue to hammer out details of the event.
“There’s no way we can have a normal graduation” with continued concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, Gilbert said, adding that the ceremony will be conducted differently. But, they plan to do everything possible to honor graduates.
