The Stuart Farmer’s Market will hold a Red, White, and Blueberries Celebration with music by FARM TEAM and will have tool sharpening. The First Friday Summer Jam Series will also begin at 6 p.m.
Saturday, July 3
The Vesta Community Center will hold a Bluegrass and Old Time Music Competition from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The competition categories are banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, bands, vocals, and flatfooting. There will be three levels of competition- children, teens, and adults. The prize for individual competitions is $15 for 1st place, $10 for 2nd place, and $5 for 3rd place. Bands will win $50 for 1st place, $30 for 2nd place, and $20 for 3rd place. There will be hotdogs, homemade lemonade, soft drinks, and desserts, as well as a Quilt Show by Mountain Top Quilters. Bring your own lawn chairs. If it rains, the competition will be held on Monday, July 5.
Stuart Cruise-In will be held on the parking lots at Patrick Henry Community College site in Stuart (located at 212 Wood Brothers Drive). This event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This Cruise-In is open to all muscle cars, classics, street rods, trucks, and motorcycles. Cash prizes and plaques will be awarded for the three Best in Show entries. This event is part of the DeHart Park 4th of July Celebration. Food vendors will be available on site.
Country Breakfast – Mountain Top Fire/Rescue Support Team – at Meadows of Dan Community Center, 7 to 10 a.m., scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, biscuits, gravy and sausage, apples, drinks. Adults $8; children $5. Take out available.

Meadows of Dan Community Association meets at 5:30 p.m. in the community center to finalize plans for the annual Folk Fair.
