The Ararat Community Crime Watch meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Ararat Ruritan Building. Guest speaker will be Investigator Jason Kruse on his role as an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Investigator.
The Tourism Advisory Council (TAC) meets at 6 p.m. in the community room at Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) in Stuart.

The Woolwine Mobile Food Pantry will be at Howell’s Furniture from 3 to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 20
A free community picnic and gospel singing will be held at Ross Harbour United Methodist Church, from 1 to 4 p.m. Singing with Swift Creek starts at 3 p.m.
Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department will hold a cash giveaway drawing starting at 7 p.m. The tickets are $20 each. The grand prize is $2,500, two prizes of $200, and 16 prizes of $100. Contact a fire department member to purchase a ticket. One ticket will be held to be raffled off day of drawing to be put in with the last 10 tickets.

The Patrick County Alzheimer’s’ Group LLC will meet at 7 p.m. in its basement office, located in Hill’s Tax Service, Staples Ave., Stuart. Debbie Tatum will discuss various Medicare plans.

The Mistletoe Market at the Stuart Farmers’ Market will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Shop locally made and produced items for all your holiday needs. Vendors will have holiday décor, baked items, meats, eggs, cheese, and one-of-a-kind gifts.

The Patrick County Food Bank will hold a distribution from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in Stuart and Ararat, and from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Stuart and Meadows of Dan.

Items can be dropped off at Minnie’s Chapel from Monday, Nov. 15 to Friday, Nov. 19 from 6-8 p.m., 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 20, 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, and 8-10 a.m. on Monday Nov. 22. Items can be dropped off at Meadows of Dan Baptist Church from Monday, Nov. 15 to Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 2-4 p.m., 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 18 and Friday, Nov. 19, 1-3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21, and 9-11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 22.
Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) will hold a hybrid (virtual and in-person) Heavy Equipment Operator – Level One class from December 11 to April 23 every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The course is 40 course hours online and 32 lab hours. For more information, call (276) 656-0260.
