The Patrick County Planning Commission will have a sub-committee work session at 4 p.m. at the Stuart site of Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) in the Community Room.

The Patrick County Economic Development Authority (EDA) will meet at 7 p.m. in the second-floor board room of the Patrick County Administration Building.

Thursday, Nov. 10
The Buffalo Ridge Community Crime Watch meeting will be at Sycamore Baptist Church at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Teresa Fontaine with the Southern Area Agency on Aging.
Saturday, Nov. 12
The annual Veteran’s Day Parade will be held at 2 p.m. in Uptown Stuart.
A benefit singing to help Kentucky flood victims will be held at Sycamore Baptist Church from 6-8 p.m. A love offering will be taken.
Fall Supper and Sale at Ross Harbour Church. The meal will be from 4-6:30 p.m. and the sale starts at 7 p.m. A chicken or ham plate is $10 per plate. Due to COVID-19 concerns, food will be served rather than buffet style this year. For take-out meals, call (276) 903-1661.
Sunday, Nov. 13
The Patrick County Historical Society & Museum’s annual general membership meeting will be held at the library/museum building starting at 2 p.m. Ann McConnell, Regent of the Col. Abram Penn Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will speak on Abram Penn.
Tuesday, Nov. 15 & Tues, Nov. 22
Patrick & Henry Community College (P&HCC) will hold an Understanding Exposure course from 6-8 p.m. for $49. Pre-registration is required by going to augusoft.net, or calling (276) 656-5461.
Wednesday, Nov. 16
The Patrick County Community Food Bank will hold a food distribution day at the Stuart site from 8:30-11 a.m. and from 5-6:30 p.m. There will be a morning distribution in Ararat from 8:30-11 a.m., and an evening distribution in Meadows of Dan from 5-6:30 p.m.

The Carroll County Genealogy Club will hold its regular monthly meeting at 4 p.m. on the left side of the Historic Old Courthouse on Main Street in Hillsville.
Friday, Nov. 18
The Woolwine UMC food truck will be at Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department from 3-5 p.m. There will be gently used toys for younger children.
Saturday, Nov. 19
A Vendor & Craft Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rotary Field to help with Shop with a Cop. The guest speaker will be Brian Hubbard.
Fairystone Volunteer Fire Department will hold a spaghetti dinner & cash raffle. The dinner will be from 4-6:30 p.m., and the raffle will start at 7 p.m. A plate is $10, and includes spaghetti, salad, a roll, dessert, and a drink, and can be dine-in or take-out. Meatless options will be available upon request. Call in orders can be made by calling (276) 930-2113. The cash raffle tickets are $20 each, and the grand prize is $2,500 with an additional 16 prizes of $100 each and two prizes of $200 each.

Thanksgiving celebration featuring God Can, begins 11 a.m. at Mtn. View Church of God of Prophecy, 436 Mtn. View Church Road, Patrick Springs.
Saturday, Dec. 3
Stuart United Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a large Christmas room, baked goods, homemade soups and chilis, a book room, and handmade crafts. All proceeds go back into the community.
Saturday, Dec. 17
The second annual Christmas Spectacular will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 264 Woodland Drive in Stuart. Local vendors will be onsite selling their wares, and Santa Claus will be present from 12-1 p.m.

The Coffee Break Café hosts live music on Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring an instrument, or just come and listen.
The Ararat Ruritan Club hosts virtual raffles on its Facebook page on the first of each month. Various items are raffled off at $10 or $20 per limited chance. There are 30-35 chances on each raffle. The Stuart Elementary School Running Club will hit the pavements along the sidewalks in town on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
The Stuart United Methodist Church will offer The Circle of Hands from 1:30-3:30 p.m. the first and third Sunday of every month. If it is a holiday weekend, the meeting will be canceled. Everyone is invited to attend the new group, which offers an opportunity to fellowship, and bring a project to work on or learn a new craft.
