The Patrick County School Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the school board office.
The Economic Development Authority (EDA) will hold a special, called meeting, 6 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Patrick County Administration Building. Under the appropriate Codes of Virginia, the meeting will immediately move into executive session after the approval of the agenda to discuss Commercial Real Estate located in the Blue Ridge District.

DeHart Park’s Festival of Lights, held at the park in Stuart nightly through Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday nights and from 6-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
The Patrick County Parks and Recreation Office are holding sign-ups for grades K–3 basketball season. The deadline is Monday, January 12. Students in grades K – 1 and students in grades 2-3 will play on co-ed teams according to the two described grade-level groupings on Saturdays during February and March. The Patrick County Patriots will hold a Turkey Shoot each Saturday in January and the first Saturday February in 2026. Events will be held at the Smith River Wildlife Building. Practice starts at 12:30 p.m. and the shoot starts at 1 p.m. Factory chokes only, no sleeves are allowed.
