The Town of Stuart will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of general obligation debt by the town. The Town Council will also discuss the proposed wastewater treatment plant project, and will provide an opportunity for public comment. The hearing will begin at 7 p.m. at the Stuart Town Office, 100 Patrick Avenue, Stuart, VA.

Submissions to the 3rd Annual Nancy Susan Reynolds Photography Show will begin. Entry forms are available at the Reynolds homestead, Patrick County Chamber Office, or by emailing Lisa Martin at martinlm@vt.edu. The show will run from Nov. 5 to Dec. 15.

In lieu of the 18th Annual Ken Adams Memorial Patrick County Toy Run, which was cancelled this year due to COVID-19 concerns, donations to benefit Patrick County youngsters at Christmas will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rotary Field in Stuart. Donations also can be mailed to 35 Goblintown Road, Stuart, VA 24171.

Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church will hold a Hallelujah Holiness Night. Trunk or Treat will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a drive-in movie starts at 7 p.m. in the war room with free popcorn. Watch from inside the car and tune in through FM radio.

The Southern Virginia Go Region 3 Council will hold a virtual meeting starting at 1 p.m.

Minnie’s Chapel Wesleyan Church will have a trunk or treat starting at 5:30 p.m. A hotdog supper to go will be provided.
Calvary Baptist Church will have a Tracts and Treats from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with music, pizza, and treats.
Deadline to donate to the Meadows of Dan Volunteer Fire Department Virtual Pancake Breakfast. In lieu of the regular pancake breakfast, MOD VFD will hold a virtual pancake breakfast in hope the community will donate to help fund the VFD. Donations can be made at Gofundme.com at “Meadows of Dan VFD 2020 Virtual Pancake Breakfast.”
