The Patrick County Master Gardener’s Plant Sale will be held at the Rotary Building in Stuart from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Senator Mark Warner will host his annual Academy Day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Accelevents.
A cruise-in will be held at Lambsburg Community Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Woodie Powers & Midnite Ramblers will provide the music on center stage for listening and dancing. The West Piedmont Planning District Commission (WPPDC) will be hosting a virtual public meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. to provide information on the planning process and to receive feedback from community members and business leaders on economic challenges created by the pandemic. The WPPDC has started the process of developing a Pandemic Recovery and Resiliency Plan that will assess the state of the regional economy by anticipating short- and long-term impacts and trends of the COVID-19 pandemic. When complete the plan will recommend actionable strategies for economic recovery and long-term economic resiliency. The plan will focus on understanding the pandemic’s current and future economic and social impacts on the WPPDC Region, how to mitigate these impacts and potential strategies that can be taken to expedite economic recovery while ensuring increased economic immunity from future threats, and specifically look to address challenges faced by local businesses in the WPPDC Region.

Bingo Benefit at Rotary Building to raise money for a new playground and volleyball courts at Rotary Field. Doors open at 6 p.m. and games start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 and include 20 games plus 1 coverall card, 3 bingo cards per game, and cash prizes. Extra coverall cards for the Grand Prize cost $5 each.

MHC Coalition for Health and Wellness is offering no contact applications assistance for Virginia’s free or low-cost Medicaid plans (Children’s Medicaid/FAMIS, Pregnancy Medicaid and Adult Health Care for 19-64 years old) for those who meet income requirements. Those who are already enrolled in or are eligible for Medicare are not eligible for this program. Questions can be answered and applications completed by phone.
