Patrick County Alzheimer’s Group will hold a Night Out Spring Bingo event at the large building at Rotary Field. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo begins at 7 p.m. Bingo packs are $25 and include 20 games and coverall ticket. Bingo prizes will be gift cards from local businesses. Individual snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. Due to COVID-19 regulations, seating is first come, first served. Limited to 50 people. Social distancing will be enforced. Hand sanitizers, gloves, and masks will be provided at request.

Primland will host a Mother’s Day Silk Scarf Workshop by local artist Sarah Reyburn from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The cost of the workshop is $60 per person and includes all materials. Reservations are required by calling 276-222-3940.

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors meets at 6 p.m. at the Patrick County Administration Building.

Patrick Henry Community College will host an “Impact vs. Intent: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” class from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The class will be held LIVE ONLINE and costs $50.
Saturday, May 15
Ararat Ruritan Club’s cash bingo. Doors open at 4:30, play begins at 6 p.m. in the Ararat Club Building. Snacks and drinks/water will be sold. $25 for 20 games plus coverall. Additional sets offered at reduced prices.
Tuesday, May 18
The annual meeting of the Stuart Cemetery Association will be held at 5 p.m. in the Patrick Henry Community College Stuart Site in the conference room.
Patrick Henry Community College will hold a “Problem Solving People- I Dare You to Attend” class from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the PHCC’s Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technology Center. The cost to attend to $75.
The Patrick County Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) will meet at 4 p.m. at the Patrick County School Board Office in the conference room. Anyone who wishes to be placed on the agenda should contact Ann Fulcher, Director of Special Education and Support Services, at 276-694-3163 by noon on May 18.

Patrick Henry Community College will hold a “Communication Skills for Managers: What’s your point?” course from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the PHCC’s Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technology Center. The cost to attend to $75.

MHC Coalition for Health and Wellness is offering no contact applications assistance for Virginia’s free or low-cost Medicaid plans (Children’s Medicaid/FAMIS, Pregnancy Medicaid, and Adult Health Care for 19-64 years old) for those who meet income requirements. Those who are already enrolled in or are eligible for Medicare are not eligible for this program. Questions can be answered, and applications completed by phone. Patrick Henry Community College will host an Introduction to Ardunio from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. every Thursday in May. The course costs $104 and pre-registration is required by calling 276-656-5461 or by going to ph.augusoft.net.
