The following paragraph from a letter from the Patrick County Genealogy Society was printed in last week’s edition:
I am also looking for Moses Cruise and a lady named Betty. In the Cruise family there was an American Indian, maybe early 1880s, but I cannot find proof. Thank you to anyone who may have correct family records. Please respond to: Ms. Mary C. Caldwell, 58 Morris Street, Mayville, NY 14757-1309.
The date should be early 1800s, not early 1880s. We regret the error.
