The Patrick County High School golf team finished its season last week with a fourth place finish in the Conference 32 Tournament at Hidden Valley Country Club. The Cougars also finished fourth place in the Conference 32 regular season
Blacksburg came in first followed by Hidden Valley in second. These two teams will compete in the Region 3A West Tournament.
Abingdon High School was third after the tournament.
Due to inclement weather and several team members unable to complete a full 18 holes, Patrick County’s individual scores were not available; however, individual places are. Thatcher Blankenship finished first for the Cougars, Jake Martin was second, followed by Daniel Smith and Evan Hopkins.
“We played well, meeting a lot of our team and personal goals this season,” said Coach Philip Steagall. “We are returning most all of this year’s team next season. We are looking forward to beginning to work on our game in the off-season.”
