The Patrick County Golf Team finished off the season strong with two 1st place wins in season play.
On March 30, the team travelled to Oak Hills Golf Club where they won with a score of 305. Tucker Swails was the medalist for the match with a score of 72. Jalen Hagwood shot a 74, David Smith shot a 77, and Kevin Nester and Wesley Roberson both shot an 82.
On April 6, the Cougars travelled to Forest Park Country Club in Martinsville where they sealed first place by winning the match with a score of 319. Wesley Roberson had the top score for the Cougars, shooting a 75. David Smith shot a 79, Jalen Hagwood shot an 80, and Tucker Swails shot an 85.
The Patrick County Golf Team ended the season as Regular Season Champions and Piedmont District Tournament Champions.
Wesley Roberson was named Piedmont District Player of the Year as well as 1st Team All-District.
Jalen Hagwood and David Smith were named 1st Team All-District as well.
Tucker Swails was named 2nd Team All-District.
The AA Regional Tournament got underway on Monday, April 12.
