The Patrick County High School Cougar soccer team had two away games last week. Last Tuesday, they lost to Tunstall 4-0.
“The Cougars played their best game of the season,” said Coach Oscar Tejeda. “We just allowed some goals that we shouldn’t have. Overall, we have improved and that’s all I can ask for out of this young team.”
Friday, the team traveled to Abingdon and lost 5-3.
The score was tied 1-1 at the half.
“We did not play to our true ability and talent,” Tejeda said. “We let three early goals in the second half go in and it was a battle back and forth.”
Scoring for the Cougars were Jordan Dalton, Burke Gonzalez, and Bailey Holt.
The Cougars traveled to Magna Vista Tuesday and will travel to Halifax Thursday.
