The Patrick County High School men’s tennis team avenged a loss to Floyd County earlier in the season by defeating the Buffaloes 6-3 last Thursday afternoon.
“This avenged an earlier season loss when we were without one of our players,” said Coach Andrew Terry. “We struggled early but played well enough to win,” he added. “This was our first match in over a week.”
Singles: #2-Frankie LaComa (PC) won 8-5; #3-Bennett Reeder (PC) won 8-4; #4-Jacob McNulty 8-3; #6-Brandon Tarpley 8-0.

Friday, the Cougars defeated Bassett 8-1.
We probably played our best all season as a team against Bassett Friday,” Terry said. “Everyone competed and played well,” he added.
“This was the first win over Bassett since I have been coaching and a big step for these guys as Bassett is always tough to play,” Terry said. “The team is playing really well right now and hopefully, we can keep this momentum going into the post season!” Terry exclaimed.
