Cougar volleyball plays three matches

The Patrick County High School varsity volleyball team played three matches last week and came out 1-2 for the week.

Monday night they hosted the Lady Eagles of Franklin County and lost in four sets, 19-25, 17-25, 25-19, 21-25.

Sydney Biggs had 12 kills, three aces and nine digs.

Izzy Beasley sets the ball in Tuesday’s game against Halifax.

Ashlee Mesot had 19 assists and three aces, and Izzy Beasley had eight kills, three blocks and two aces.

Tuesday, the Lady Cougars hosted Halifax and played five sets, losing 25-15, 26-28, 25-15, 15-25, 9-15

Izzy Beasley had 11 kills and two blocks. Morgan Biggs had eight kills, five blocks and eight digs. Sydney Kirk scored 11 aces. Ashlee Mesot had 31 assists and three aces, and Sydney Biggs had seven kills, 11 digs and six aces.

Thursday the Lady Cougars won in three sets against Martinsville,  25-5, 25-7, 25-16. Jenna King had 10 aces and five digs. Morgan Biggs had seven aces and six kills, while Sydney Biggs had six kills, two aces and two digs.

Tuesday, PC hosted Magna Vista.
