The Patrick County High School boys’ varsity basketball team’s regular season came to an end with a victory over Tunstall High School this past Monday. The Cougars defeated the Trojans 60-55.
Three Cougars scored in double digits in the game. Darius Hagwood led the team with 19 points. Seniors Hunter Lawless followed with 15 and Brandon Hubbard had 12 in their final game at Patrick County High School.
Coach Andrew Terry. He goes on to say, “They are two players we count on, always in double digits” of the two seniors,” said Coach Andrew Terry. “They led by example and will be tough to replace.”
The Cougars end the regular season with an 8-15 season district record. They traveled last night to play at Hidden Valley High School in the first round of the Region 3D Tournament. Scores from that game were not available at press time.
