The Patrick County Varsity football team traveled to Halifax last Friday and lost 38-7. The team fought hard and kept the score close in the first half – 13-7.
The lone touchdown for the Cougars was scored late in the first half by Seth Scott and kicker Martin Morse made the PAT however, the Cougars never got any closer in the second half.
The Comets took control of the game in the third quarter and made the game a blowout. The loss makes the Cougars’ record 2-6 for the year.
The Cougars will travel to Tunstall this Friday.
