The Patrick County High School varsity boys’ tennis team faced off against the Floyd County Buffaloes last Wednesday. Despite winning 2-1 in doubles, the Cougars were unable to pull off a victory against an undefeated Buffaloes squad and lost 6-3.
Neither team was shutout in any match during the hard fought competition. Coach Andrew Terry believes his team has improved since the beginning of the season and will continue to do so given more practice and better weather.
The Cougars dropped to 0-3. Their next match will be against the Bassett Bengals on Wednesday, April 11 at 4:30 p.m. at PCHS.
