The distinctive Insignia badge with blue ribbon and other pins and medals worn by members of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution was the topic for the program at the November meeting of the Colonel Abram Penn Chapter NSDAR. Chapter member Racquelle Snow led the program and included the history, placement and types of pins in the presentation. A DAR member’s Insignia and pins communicate her unique story of volunteer service and the heritage of the National Society. There is meaning behind every pin. Any woman at least 18 years old who can prove direct lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership. Contact Ann McConnell at nammcconnell@yahoo.com.
