Have you heard of the Barn Quilt Trail? The TRAIL HANDS project? Or the Rise and Shine Youth Farmers’ Market?
The trio of projects were created and implemented through Air Shift 2018, with seed funding donated by Clark Gas and Oil and Virginia Tech.
The 2019 Patrick County Air:Shift workshop is scheduled for April 8-10 at the Reynolds Homestead. The event begins at 3 p.m. on April 8.
The $50 workshop fee includes materials and meals for all three days.
The workshops are designed to help people grow their own creativity and connect and collaborate with other community members to develop a project that will address a need in the county. During the three-day workshop, participants are divided into teams and are guided through the process of developing projects that can be implemented within a year with a budget of $10,000 or less.
Participants will receive training in community collaboration, design thinking, networking, team building, and project management skills including how to research, market, test, and present a project idea.
To register, call the Reynolds Homestead at (276) 694-7181 extension 21 before the March 30 registration deadline.
