Blue Ridge, Hardin Reynolds Memorial, Patrick Springs, Stuart and Woolwine Elementary Schools worked together this past school year to collect a total of 445 pounds of soda can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Winston-Salem, N.C. The Ronald McDonald House provides a “home away from home” for families of children who are receiving treatment at local hospitals. The tabs were donated in memory of Quentin, son of Nikki Redd, cafeteria manager at Hardin Reynolds Memorial School, and Jordan, son of Kayla Slate a teacher at Blue Ridge Elementary School. Start saving those pop tabs for the 2016-17 school year.
