Grand jurors handed down more than 40 indictments on March 3, according to records in the Patrick County Court Clerk’s Office.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but a grand jury’s determination that enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.
Those named in the indictments are:
*Anthony Clinton Slover, 48, of Stuart, one count each threat to bomb or burn, abduction, and use of firearm in commission of a felony, August 7.
*Rebecca Rakes West, 40, of Axton, unauthorized use of a vehicle, September 7.
*Christopher Wayne Bowman, 36, of Stuart, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, September 18.
*Justin Ryan Fain, 22, of Stuart, one count each strangulation and possess firearm while protective order in effect, August 13.
*James Daniel Biggs, 34, of Patrick Springs, one count each possess firearm by a violent felon and carry conceal weapon – second offense, August 20.
*Chrystal Gayle Hough, 38, of Meadows of Dan, unauthorized use of a vehicle, May 27.

*Mason Wyatt Wasoski, 23, of Stuart, strangulation, June 20.
*Freddie Lee Williard, Jr., 45, of Claudville, four counts destruction of property and one count grand larceny, on or about August 30 – September 9, 2021.
*Adrian Rashad Scales, 43, of Waynesboro, child endangerment, November 7.
*Piris Ramalho Aguimar, 48, of Mt. Airy, N.C., grand larceny, October 24.
*Crystal Ann Dixon, 41, of Stuart, arson, November 21.
*Dylan McCoy Henderson, 22, of Stuart, possession of a Schedule I or II drug, September 24.
*Steven Markley Morrison, 69, of Stuart, one count each object sexual penetration and sodomy, September 14.
*Jennifer Michelle Ramsey, 29, of Bassett, possession of a Schedule I or II drug, August 21.

*Brian Dean Mitchem, 41, of Olin, NC, two counts each burglary and grand larceny, on or between June 9 and July 15, 2023.
*James Mullis, 45, of Patrick Springs, two counts strangulation and one count each prevent 911 and domestic assault and batter, June 10.
*Michael Timothy Puckett, 54, of Cana, one count each manufacture or possess a firebomb, arson, and possession of explosive by felon, July 1, 2023.
*Christopher Lee Rhodes, 42, of Stuart, possession of Schedule I or II drugs, December 20, 2022.
