Patrick County High School (PCHS) recently held its annual CO2 Car Race.
Dale Overfelt’s Drafting II, III, and Engineering classes design their cars using the program, Solidworks. Cars are printed using a 3D printer. The specs such as length, width, and height, stay the same with each car, but the students can personalize the design.
When the race was held, the top speed was 45 mph. It has been two years since the students were able to compete, so they were very excited to get ‘back on track.”
