Drones are fast flying marvels of technology that youngsters can get their hands on this summer through the Surry Community College Drone Flight Academy that teaches students everything they need to begin flying like a pro.
The Drone Flight Academy is geared for rising fifth through eighth graders and will be held Aug. 6-9, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on the college’s campus at 630 S. Main St., Dobson, N.C.. Pre-registration and payment of $110 is required by July 20.
This fast-paced summer camp focuses on safe, fun, acrobatic flying through obstacle courses and races. Students do not need to own a drone or know how to fly one.
