Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC) will offer Electrical groundsman training in Patrick County Monday through Thursday, March 11 through April 4, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A high school diploma is not required and the training will be held in Patrick County.
Training will be for an entry level position working primarily for electrical contractors that serve utility companies. Groundsmen prepare packs for the linemen, operate bucket trucks, help install underground lines, and handle traffic control.
Employment can range from electrical contractors, cable contractors, telephone contractors, and electrical utility providers.
