A winter advisory did little to deter participation at an Empty Bowls event held Saturday in Stuart. The event was a fundraiser to raise money for the Patrick County Community Food Bank. Attendees paid $10 to select a handmade bowl. May residents, groups and others helped over the last several months and made the bowls. Participants Saturday also received a bowl of homemade soup. A silent auction was held at the event that also featured live entertainment by local musicians.
