The 23rd Apple Dumpling Festival was deemed a great success by Stuart Town Manager Bryce Simmons.
“It was a really successful event. The weather played a big part of that, having nice weather,” he said of the October 19 event.
At any given time, Simmons said about 3,000 people were walking through the festival venue, enjoying themselves, visiting vendors and listening to live music.
“We probably had anywhere from 4,000 to 5,000 as the total number of people that passed through. That’s just an estimate, but in general, I think that’s what we’ve had before,” he said.
During future festivals, Simmons said the town is making a list of additions that will make it even more convenient for festival goers. For instance, having an ATM machine on site, and “then…trying to utilize the Star Theatre for music,” he said.
