Business owners and entrepreneurs are invited to attend a discussion on general legal topics pertaining to operating a small business on June 7, from noon to 2 p.m. at the New College Institute.
This free session is sponsored by the Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation’s Small, Minority & Entrepreneurial Division.
From start-ups to established businesses, business owners should always be aware of their legal requirements. This workshop will help tackle some of the basic legal topics that may need to be addressed when running a small business. Being in compliance before they become an issue can avoid headaches and sometimes save money down the road.
The guest speaker will be Patrick Henry Community College’s (PHCC’s) Jack Hanbury, JD, who will discuss the law and offer a list of key “dos and don’ts” to bear in mind.
This workshop is free and open to the public; however, registration is requested by June 4. To register, call (276) 403-5940 or visit www.YesMartinsville.com/Events.
