A group of Patrick County citizens hopes to organize a “Patrick County Friends of Tennis” by sponsoring a social at Honduras Coffee Shop Tuesday, August 23, at 6 p.m.
Everyone is welcome, including current players, past players, those who want to learn and tennis supporters. The group wants to encourage and support the love of tennis in the area.
According to Sharon Smith, one of the organizers, the group will be setting up tennis groups for weekly play. “It makes no difference if you haven’t played in a while or if you have never played,” she said. “Come out and see what the buzz is all about.”
