The Patrick County Master Gardeners and Stuart branch of the Blue Ridge Regional Library teamed up on March 29 to celebrate The Very Hungry Caterpillar. More than 40 children and adults celebrated by reading, making caterpillar crafts planting seeds and planting wild violets in the Books, Blooms and Bugs Library Garden. Violets are the host plant for caterpillars of the Fritillary butterfly.
