Patrick County Girl Scouts held their annual Lock-In at the Reynolds Homestead on Saturday, January 21 with about 60 girls and adults in attendance.
The evening began with girls reciting the Girl Scout Promise together. Then there were sessions making friendship bracelets, a friendship chain, sand art (showing colors of the Girl Scout Law), and delicious brownie sundaes. Also part of the evening activities were for the Cookie Rally since this year is the 100th year of Girl Scout cookie sales.
Several troops enjoyed movies and snacks while spending the night at the Homestead. It was a fun evening with lots of good times for all. Many thanks to the Homestead for allowing the Girl Scouts to use the center and to all the leaders and girls who planned the sessions and activities.
The Girl Scouts would also like to remind everyone that they are selling cookies now through March. Anyone who would like cookies is asked to contact a Girl Scout.
