Glennwood Ethemer Ginter, 76, of Henry County died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Roanoke on April 23, 1940, and was a son of the late Mabel June Lee and Harold Ethemer Ginter. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sherideon Jean Hall Ginter.
He was a member of Fort Trial Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his children, Catherine Reneé Ginter of Stuart, Gregory Ethemer Ginter of Nashville, Tenn., Deborah Lynn Ginter Smith of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Kimberly Dawn Ginter Martin of Collinsville; two brothers, Reginald Ginter of Smith Mountain Lake and Dennis Ginter of Catawba; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held today (Wednesday) at 11 a.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel, with Dr. Joey McNeil officiating. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park. Military rites will be performed by the Martinsville and Henry County Veterans Honor Guard.
