More than 14 people were named in indictments handed down by grand jurors seated in Patrick County on Monday, June 3, according to records in the Patrick County Circuit Court Clerk’s office.
An indictment is not an indication of guilt, but rather a grand jury’s finding that evidence exists to warrant a trial.
Those indicted were:
Edward Earnest Barnes, of Bassett, one count each indecent liberties, object sexual penetration and aggravated sexual battery of minor.
James Daniel Biggs, of Patrick Springs, possess precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
Samuel Odell Coleman, of Stuart, one count each grand larceny, conspire to commit grand larceny and obtain money by false pretenses.
Robert Donte Cunningham, of Collinsville, one count each indecent liberties and sexual abuse of child.
Jonathan Robert Forcier, of Stuart, one count each strangulation, abduction, assault and failure to appear for felony offense.
Jerome Johnson, of Spencer, two counts of strangulation; one count each abduction and malicious wounding.
Timothy Ray Joyce, of Bassett, two counts each credit card fraud and obtain money by false pretenses.
Donna Laprade, of Ferrum, one count each grand larceny, conspire to commit grand larceny and obtain money by false pretenses.
Kelly Shane Marion, of Yadkinville, N.C., failure to appear for felony offense.
Shannon Gray Pack, of Patrick Springs, three counts trespass; one count possess firearm by nonviolent felon.
Corey Lamar Rucker, of Stuart, one count each grand larceny, conspire to commit grand larceny and obtain money by false pretenses.
Zachary Dalton Scales, of Ararat, one count each break and enter, and grand larceny.
Riley Shaw, of King, N.C., one count each rape, object sexual penetration and attempt to commit forcible sodomy.
Darryl Franchot Younger, of Stuart, one count each grand larceny, conspire to commit grand larceny and obtain money by false pretenses.
