Angela Hill will step down as editor for The Enterprise to devote more time to her family.
Debbie Hall will be named to the post on April 3.
Hill began serving as interim editor in October. She was formally named to the post in January.
“I’ve truly enjoyed serving as editor these past few months, and I extend a heart-felt thank you to all the fantastic people with whom I’ve worked on news and feature articles,” Hill said. “I’m pleased that The Enterprise will be able to continue its long-standing tradition of excellence under Debbie’s experienced leadership.”
Hall, who spent 15 years as a reporter with the Martinsville Bulletin, lives in Patrick County and also covered local news and events.
“Since coming to The Enterprise in December, I’ve had the pleasure of reconnecting with many people I worked with in the past. I look forward to continuing to build on those relationships, as well as to cultivating new ones,” Hall said.
Hill will continue her employment at The Enterprise in a variety of roles, including receptionist and features writer, as her schedule allows.
“Angela has been diligent in the performance of her duties. I admire her for a number of reasons, but none more than her sacrifices and for putting her children first,” Hall said.
The Enterprise team also includes Linda Hylton, office manager/photographer; Debbie Spencer, sales representative; Stephen Henderson, sports writer; Naomi Conner, office assistant; and distribution employees Lynn Shouse, Dan Russell and Curtis Lane.
