Delegates unanimously approved a bill to extend the local hospital’s Acute Care License.
House Bill (HB) 175 received 99 votes, according to Will Pace, Charles Poindexter’s legislative aide.
Poindexter, R-Glade Hill, filed the proposal that now will be considered by the Senate.
Pace said because the bill includes an emergency clause, he anticipates it will be sent to the Senate before the Feb. 13 crossover date.
A vote on the proposal currently making its way through the Senate, SB 866, is expected Tuesday, according to State Sen. Bill Stanley, R-Moneta.
