Hugh Albert “Bud” White, JR, 90, of Stuart, VA died on Friday September 25, 2020 at the Landmark Center in Stuart. He was born in Ayer Massachusetts on November 14, 1929 to the late Hilda Estabrooks White and Hugh Albert White SR. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Nannie Ruth White.
He worked as assistant superintendent of Easthampton Rubber Thread Plant in Stuart. He attended Stuart Baptist Church, past president of Stuart Rotary, board member of R. J. Reynolds Hospital, past president of Stuart Jaycees and numerous other boards. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean war
Surviving are one sister; Marguerite W Tatum (Robert) of Chesterfield, VA, brother-in-law; Linward Simmons (Carolyn) of Critz, VA, two sister-in– laws; Betty Lou Simmons Clark (John) of Stuart, VA, Louise A Simmons of Woolwine, VA, Several Nieces and Nephews, several very special great nieces and great nephew. A special thank you for Tammy his care giver for years.
A graveside service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday September 27, 2020 at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Reverend Jim Churchwell officiating. Military rites will be performed by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard
Due to the covid-19 outbreak, all restrictions mandated by the guidelines set forth by the state must be enforced.
