James Akers Hylton, age 63, of Martinsville, died Monday, September 26, 2016, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Henry County on January 14, 1953, and was preceded in death by his father, Billy Moir Reynolds.
He had worked at Nationwide Homes in Martinsville.
Surviving are one daughter, Brittany Hylton of Martinsville; his mother, Doretha Hylton Reynolds of Critz; six brothers, Richard Reynolds of Ridgeway, Larry Reynolds of Martinsville, Benny Reynolds of Washington, D.C., Ervin Reynolds, Norman Reynolds and Dennis Reynolds, all of Critz; three sisters, Ann Hedrick, Jackie Via, and Melissa Collins, all of Critz; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held Friday in Mt. Nebo Holiness Church cemetery with Pastor Sammy Hagwood officiating.
